The toy

Zuzu was sad. She did not want to be sad, but she was. When Nani saw Zuzu, she surprised ( متعجب ساختن ) her with a new toy. As soon as Zuzu saw the toy she loved it because Nani made it herself.  "Please, Nani, teach me to make this toy." So Nani did.
     You learn ( برای یادگیری ) too and make someone happy!  OK?

1) You need: a ruler ( خط کش اندازه گیری ), 1 piece of heavy (سنگین) paper 12 cm tall (بلند) and 10 cm wide (عریض), a clothespin, a pencil, scissors, colored pens and glue (چسب)

This is a clothespin.

2) Draw (رسم کردن) an egg on the paper and a little bird like you see in the picture. The width (عرض) of the egg should be half (1/2) the length (طول) of your clothespin. The bird should be half (1/2) the width of the egg.
 

 

    If the clothespin is 8 cm long

     . . . the egg will be 4 cm wide

        . . . the bird will be 2 cm wide
 

3) Cut out (برش دادن) the egg and color the bird. Draw a line to make the egg look broken (شکسته). Cut the egg at this line.

 

4) Glue (چسباندن) the top of the egg to the top half of the clothespin.
 

5) Glue the bird to the inside (داخل) of the bottom (پایین) part of the egg. Then glue the bird and egg to the bottom half of the clothespin. When you glue the bottom to the clothespin be sure it fits (متناسب کردن) exactly (کاملا) with the top.

 
 

 

 

 

 6)  Now open the clothespin!
