A woman was told she needed ( او احتیاج داشت ) a serious operation ( عملیات جدی ). She could not ignore (نادیدهگرفتن) the thoughts of death ( مرگ ).
Before the operation she arranged for ( ترتیب داده شده برای ) something special with the surgeon ( جراح ). She walked into the operating room ( اتاق عمل ), turned on music, and began to dance and laugh with all the other women doctors and nurses ( پرستاران )!
She defied ( سرپیچی کردن ) danger ( خطر ).
She defied sorrow ( غم و اندوه ) and fear ( ترس ). She would not let anything steal (دزدیدن) her joy (شادی).
Today she works to help other people faced with danger ( مواجه با خطرات ) hold on to ( نگه داشتن به ) joy.
We choose ( ما انتخاب میکنیم ) joy because we know that love, joy and all that is good can always be found inside us, in our hearts. No one can take what is inside us, from us.
