( امتحان )”. In an exam there are many questions and parts. I now under- stand that it is very good when life gives you a hard test ( آزمون سخت ) early in your life and you pass it
( موفق شدن ). I had a very hard test when I was little. The test changed ( تغییر کرد ) my life and made it better. When you pass an exam you learn. I learned the most valuable ( با ارزش ترین ) lessons of my life from that test. My family had to leave our beautiful country and walk over the mountains to escape (برای فرار) war. I learned to never give up ( هرگز تسلیم نشوید ) in the middle of the journey, until you reach ( برای رسیدن به ) your destination ( مقصد ). What I learned will be with me my whole life.
On that long journey crossing the mountains, it meant so much to us just to have someone smile or say “hello”. Or when someone gave me even a small thing it was so wonderful. You never forget that.
In some ways you are lucky ( خوشبخت ) to have such a journey. You start with an ordinary
( معمولی ) life. But then your life becomes not ordinary ( خاص ). You feel a higher power
( قدرت بالاتر ) helping you in ways you did not know before your journey.
I think you love life more. I don't mean you love things (like clothes or computers) more. I mean you love life itself more. You are content
(راضی بودن) in life with just a small bed because once you had to sleep on rocks ( صخره ها ). You know that every meal is special. I learned that every time something in my life comes to an end ( پایان ) it is a new beginning ( آغاز ). I learned to do things I never thought I could do
(قادر به انجام خواهد بود).
