My mother's teacher

My mother was very smart ( او باهوش بود )!  She wanted to go to university. She finished ( او تمام کرد ) high school. But my grand- mother said girls did not need ( نیاز داشتن ) to go to university.  But my mother did not stop learning. ( او یادگیری را متوقف نکرد ) She got help from the best teachers: books.
     There is one thing I remember most
( بیشتر از همه به یاد دارم ) about my mother. After ( بعد از ) her house work was done every day, she read books.
     Every free minute ( هر دقیقه رایگان ), she read. She read the books in our house many, many times. She got books from the library
( کتابخانه ). She borrowed ( وام گرفت ) books from friends. My father gave her books.
    Books were her teachers.
    Books were her best friends.
    Books were her university.
