The lesson of the butterfly

A young man found
( برای پیدا کردن ) a cocoon of a butterfly. He watched the cocoon
( پیله ) many days. Nothing changed.
( هیچ چیز تغییر نمی کرد ). So the man made a small hole ( سوراخ ) in the cocoon to help the butterfly come out.
The butterfly then came out easily ( به راحتی ).  But something was wrong ( اشتباه ). The butterfly's body was very big and its wings ( بال ها ) too small.

The man watched
(به تماشای) the butter- fly for many hours, waiting ( در انتظار ) for its wings to get big and open up. But that didn’t happen
( به وقوع پیوستن ). Its wings never got big or strong ( قوی ). The butterfly lived its life not able to fly ( برای پرواز ).  The man's ignorant
(نادان) "help" made the butterfly weak (ضعیف).
The kind young man wanted to help, but he didn't understand how to help. And so he hurt (آسیب زدن) the butterfly instead of (بجای) helping.
                                   * * *
Now what did you learn?
Teacher:  The young man looked at the cocoon many days and said "nothing changed."  Was that true?
Student: Yes.
Teacher: No, no. The little worm inside the cocoon was changing every minute!  The problem was that the man could not see the change.
Student: OK. I understand. The worm was changing where the man couldn't see it.
Teacher: What lesson can we learn from this?
Student: It means we should be patient.
Teacher: Yes, we should be patient because there is always change going on even when we can't see it.
Student: Yes.
Teacher: Why did the young man hurt the butterfly when he wanted to help it?
Student:  He did not have knowledge, so he hurt the butterfly.
Teacher: Yes, very good. Does a worm inside a cocoon have all it needs to change into a butterfly?
Student:  Yes, it has.
Teacher:  Do people have all they need inside them to change and grow beautiful?
Student: Sometimes yes and sometimes no.
Teacher: So is a worm better than a human?  If a worm has all it needs, but we do not, are we less than worms?
Student: Everyone has everything inside but, in my idea, sometimes we don't see it.  I helped a girl once who was really intelligent. But she didn't know about her talents. So when I told her about her talents she saw it was all inside her but she always ignored it. So I just helped her study and work hard on her talents.
Teacher: What a wonderful thing you did!  Now I see that you understand the story of the butterfly.
Student: Yes, now I really know it.
Teacher:  Does a country have everything inside it to grow and become beautiful?
Student: Yes, all countries have what they need if their citizens work hard and honestly for their country. But in Afghanistan it is really important for us to be together and work together and help each other. To bring peace in Afghanistan the people must first learn to live together. Until we learn to live together we won't see or use our talents. And t
he Afghan people need knowledge, just like my friend needed it. The people don't know about the talents we have. Like my friend, they are ignoring what we have because they lack knowledge.
